STRUZAN TEXTURE PART 1

I wanted to take time to look more at Struzan’s craft. In particular, I wanted to look at his speckled, dot texturing.

Below in his poster for Blade Runner, he adds yellow dot speckles around the yellow neon light:

This is similar to how when snow or dust is illuminated closer to a light source:

This is also a common technique for Struzan when adding lighting: spelled dots around the bolts:
