VISUAL INTEREST: STRUZAN OUTLINES PART 1

For this new Struzan study, I wanted to finally start to dig into how and when he uses colored outlines in his compositions. This study goes over two that I noticed so far: Rimlit Outline and Carry-Through Outline.

RIMLIT OUTLINE

This first style is when the outline is based on the color of the background, almost like how a rim light would behave.

CARRY-THROUGH OUTLINE

The second style is when the outline is carried through only one part of the background and used over a background that is not the same color.
